Surely a good human coach is better than an app?
In many cases, yes. A great human coach is still an exceptionally strong solution.
What it gets right
A good coach can hear hesitation in your voice, understand your life, spot patterns that data misses and give accountability when motivation disappears. The weaknesses are practical: cost, availability, consistency and the fact that one coach can only pay close attention to so many athletes.
Where runners still feel the gap
RunAI is not trying to pretend software has human judgement. It is trying to make some of the useful parts of continuous coaching available all the time, while learning from the training data at a scale no individual coach can maintain.
The RunAI view
We do not think runners need another app just because another app can be built. The bar should be higher: the system should reduce the amount of managing, interpreting and prompting the runner has to do.
Our aim is simple: your training comes in, the plan responds, the goal stays in view, and the system keeps learning from what actually happened.
If your current setup already does that well, keep it. If it does not, that is the problem RunAI is trying to solve.
Want to test the other approach?
RunAI is in early beta. We're looking for runners who already care about their training and want to challenge how the system adapts.
