Garmin already does coaching. Why would you need RunAI?
Garmin is one of the strongest reasons a runner might say they do not need another app.
What it gets right
Runners often praise Garmin for convenience, depth of data and having guidance already built into the watch they own. The recurring frustration is not that it lacks capability, but that automated changes can sometimes feel opaque or overly generic.
Where runners still feel the gap
RunAI is trying to make the reasoning around the plan easier to understand and keep the goal, the plan, the completed training and the response connected over time.
The RunAI view
We do not think runners need another app just because another app can be built. The bar should be higher: the system should reduce the amount of managing, interpreting and prompting the runner has to do.
Our aim is simple: your training comes in, the plan responds, the goal stays in view, and the system keeps learning from what actually happened.
If your current setup already does that well, keep it. If it does not, that is the problem RunAI is trying to solve.
Want to test the other approach?
RunAI is in early beta. We're looking for runners who already care about their training and want to challenge how the system adapts.
